Our Story

I built Peace & Pure in the middle of the hardest year of my life.

— Alice, founder

My skin was giving me away: tired, tight, reactive. I was going through a period of intense stress and depression, and my skin became the visible record of everything I was feeling inside. Very sensitive, very dry, redness that wouldn't settle, and the first fine lines arriving years before I expected them.

I noticed something that felt obvious once I saw it: when my mind was in crisis, my skin was too. Stress wasn't only making my skin reactive, it was quietly ageing it. Cortisol makes skin dull, fragile and quicker to line, so the hardest year of my life was showing on my face as well as in it. The chemical-heavy products on the market didn't help. I wanted to nourish my skin naturally, not because I had anything against synthetic chemicals, but because my skin was telling me it needed gentleness.

What brought me back wasn't a product. It was meditation, breathwork and aromatherapy. These three practices became my daily anchor. And somewhere in that slow return, I started asking a question: what if a skincare product could carry both things at once: real repair for the skin, and a real pause for the person using it?

I partnered with an experienced cosmetic scientist, and together we composed Timeless Elixir to repair the signs of ageing that stress leaves behind, and to do it gently. I tested the formula on my own skin, and with others whose skin was similarly stressed, sensitive and reactive, for months before we finalised it. Twenty botanical extracts, composed together into one formula, each one there because my skin, and perhaps yours, needed it.

Peace & Pure stands for self-love and self-care as a daily practice: five minutes, morning and evening, that are entirely yours, a small meditative pause held in your own two hands. The product is a permission slip to pause, and it is meant as something gentler still: a little warmth and support sent into your day, the way a kind word is. It began as the product I needed in my hardest year, and I hope it brings you the same calm and care it brought me.

What the Name Means

Peace

Not the absence of conflict. The state in which skin can actually repair: the body in parasympathetic, cortisol down, the ritual unhurried.

Pure

Not ‘clean' marketing. The integrity of the formula: 100% naturally derived ingredients, 20 plant botanicals, no synthetic fragrance, no fillers, preserved in glass that blocks everything but the wavelengths that keep the actives alive.

The ampersand is there on purpose, because each one needs the other. A pure formula deserves a calm, unhurried moment to do its work, and a calm moment deserves something pure to hold. When the two come together, morning and evening, your skin is cared for, and so are you. And the name carries one more meaning, held close to our heart: it points to who you already are beneath the stress and the noise, your essential self, the pure being eternally at peace.

What We Believe

Evidence over aesthetics

If we can't cite it, we won't claim it. If the study is on the ingredient, we attribute it to the ingredient.

Composition over soloism

One hero ingredient is a marketing story. Twenty well-chosen botanicals is a formulation philosophy.

Transparency over mystery

Every ingredient, every source: on the label and the website.

Inclusion over coding

Skin is not gendered. Our brand won't be either.

Ritual over routine

A product used with intention works differently than a product used in a hurry.

A note on gender We don't make a women's brand that welcomes men, or a men's brand that welcomes women. We make a product for adult skin under pressure, and adult skin isn't gendered. The product is for the person using it. That's all.
A Note on Sustainability

we don't claim perfection. we claim intention.

We source responsibly and tell you where the corners are.

Miron violet-black glass

The bottle is 100% recyclable, and the glass keeps daylight away from the delicate botanicals, so the oil stays fresh and full of life for as long as you are using it.

Upcycled ingredients

Several of the botanicals are made from surplus crops that would otherwise have been discarded, so what was once waste becomes part of the formula.

Cruelty-free and vegan

There is nothing animal-derived in the bottle, and neither the oil nor the botanicals in it are tested on animals.

No water in the bottle

A facial oil has no need of water, so nothing here is shipped as filler, and one 30ml bottle lasts around ten to twelve weeks of twice-daily use.

FSC-certified carton

The outer box is printed on uncoated FSC-certified board, which means the paper comes from responsibly managed forests.

Made in the UK

Timeless Elixir is made in the UK, which keeps the journey from us to most of our customers a short one.
